Dr. Sierra-Torre developed a doctoral thesis on the topic “Autophagy and phagocytosis: functional relationship in microglia” within the Laboratory of Glial Cell Biology, under the supervision of the researchers Amanda Sierra Saavedra and Ainhoa Plaza Zabala.
The results of this work was also published Epilepsia 2020 Nov;61(11):2593-2608 and Autophagy 2023 Jul;19(7):1952-1981.
