The Laboratory of Glial Cell Biology is looking for a candidate for a 4-years funded FPI Fellowship to study the role of microglia, the brain macrophages in neurodevelopmental disorders by developing immunocompetent human brain organoids.

We offer mentorship and a supportive environment to gradually develop your independent thinking. In addition to the bench-related skills necessary to develop the project (iPSC and organoid culture, imaging, transcriptomics), we provide training writing, experimental design, statistics, mentoring, scientific outreach and leadership.
Contract
FPI Fellowships are 4-years contracts with the aim to develop a PhD thesis. Salary levels are those fixed by the funder, the Spanish Research Agency (Agencia Estatal de Investigación).
The contract will be financed by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and the European Social Fund.
Elegibility
Candidates should have a good academic record; a Master’s degree in Neuroscience, Molecular Biology or any related field; and fluency in written and spoken English.
