Generations for equality: a transformative legacy

10 May 2024

Our colleague, the predoctoral researcher Nerea Urrestizala Arenaza, participates in this meeting organized by Emakunde

ACHUCARRO maintains a firm and active commitment to Equal opportunities, and one of the exponents is the collaboration with Emakunde, the Basque Women’s Institute, and the areas of work of the PACT FOR EQUALITY AND LIVES FREE OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN. This Pact is aligned with the actions of the United Nations Generation Equality initiative.

The area number 4 of the Pact strives to work on “Childhood and adolescence” (Learning equality from the earliest ages, coeducation, promoting intergenerational dialogue for equality), Emakunde launched two work spaces that take up that idea, on the one hand, the Intergenerational Group of Empowerment and Leadership of Women and on the other hand the Youth Working Group, all within the framework of the community created by the Country Pact.

On March 21, 2024, they organized an event to crystallize these commitments, and our colleague, the predoctoral researcher, Nerea Urrestizala Arenaza, participated.
