New funded project about anti-neuroinflammatory treatments to preserve neurogenesis

The research team composed by Drs. Juan Manuel Encinas Pérez, Soraya Martín Suárez, Nerea Llamosas Muñozguren and predoctoral researcher Lorena García Ruiz-Clavijo at Achucarro Basque center for Neuroscience has been awarded with one of the prestigious grants by Fundación Alicia Koplowitz.
The project is entitled “Anti-neuroinflammatory treatments to preserve neurogenesis, interneurons, and neuronal and circuit activity in a model of childhood epilepsy” falling within the category of Grants for Projects in Infantile-Juvenile Neuroscience Research.
The project aims to target neuroinflammation to preserve the normal functioning of brain circuits in infantile epilepsy, with a special interest in Dravet Syndrome.
