Profile for this position
This project will explore and validate the potential use of functionalized gold and magnetic nanoparticles to modulate brain activity following stroke. We will explore new classes of plasmonic and magnetic nanoparticles and then testing them in living mice subjected to ischemic stroke models in combination of two-photon microscopy, electroencephalography, immunohistochemistry and confocal microscopy.
Contract
We offer a one-year full-time position (extendable to 2 years) starting on May 2024.
Elegibility
Previous experience in animal handling, brain tissue preparation, vibratome and cryostat sectioning, immunohistochemistry and confocal microscopy experience is highly desirable, experience on two-photon microscopy, EEG is preferred but not necessarily required.
