Postdoctoral position in Behavioral and molecular neuroscience (IKUR)

The group of Dr. Edgar Soria-Gómez is seeking for one postdoctoral researcher (R2,R3) with experience in behavioral neuroscience and brain circuits. The postdoctoral fellow will be in charge of behavioral experiments combined with optogenetics in mutant mice to study the role of parvalbumin-positive neurons in schizophrenia-like models. This study is part of a collaborative project coordinated by Professor Dr. Javier Meana, head of the Neuropsychopharmacology Research Group (UPV/EHU).

Profile for this position
The selected candidate will be required to work in the headquarters of ACHUCARRO in Leioa, and in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of the Basque Country in the same campus. The candidate should be skilled in both animal experimentation and data analysis.
Contract
This contract will be funded by the IKUR Strategy (Project ExoPsyCog) of the Basque Government and has a duration of 1.5 years. The gross annual salary will be 33.400 euro. Candidates that have not worked/lived in our territory for more than 5 years may opt to a special tax regime than can increase the net salary: https://www.investinbiscay.com/en/bizkaia-tax-breaks
Elegibility
We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher with experience in behavioral neuroscience, stereotaxical procedures, and optogenetics,  with official qualification for animal experimentation ("B" and "C" certifications).
