Want to tag the extracellular matrix (ECM) for live imaging?
22Jul2025
Federico N. Soria, Ikerbasque and Ramón y Cajal researcher at ACHUCARRO, created an AAV vector, pAAV-CMVie-NcanGFP (a genetically encoded fluorescent tag for hyaluronan) that is available at Addgene.
Our AAV vector, pAAV-CMVie-NcanGFP is a genetically encoded fluorescent label for hyaluronan that can be used for live imaging of the ECM (ExtraCelullar Matrix) in mice in vivo.
It can be combined with structural (e.g. dendritic spines) and functional (e.g. calcium imaging) reporters to study brain cell physiology within the context of the ECM. Validation of the probe and more info in the BioRxiv preprint.
