Job offer: PhD position in Endocannabinoid-Astrocyte Interplay in Multiple Sclerosis

The Laboratory of Neurobiology at ACHUCARRO and the UPV/EHU offers a PhD position funded by 1-year contract with the possibility of extension.

The candidate will investigate how endocannabinoids and CB1 receptors modulate astrocytic function during myelin damage and repair. The project employs functional imaging, transcriptomic and metabolic analysis applied to rodent in vivo and in vitro models and human astrocytes generated using stem-cell technology. 

This research line is funded by The Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, the ISCIII and the Basque Government.

Profile of candidates:
  • Excellent academic record (> 7.5).
  • Master's degree in Neuroscience, Cell Biology, Biotechnology or related.
  • Solid communication skills in English
  • Experience in stem-cell technology will be valued
